莫伊塞維契 Benno Moiseiwitsch 1890-1963，生於俄國，出身於奧得薩音樂院，9 歲時即贏得魯賓斯坦大賽的獎項。1904 年到了維也納，即成為一代大師雷雪替茲基之弟子，之後，移居至英國業且打響了其個人節聲望，足跡遍至北美、南美、澳洲、亞洲等地區，被推崇為俄國樂派鋼琴家之中，最佳浪漫樂派曲目的詮釋者。他的演奏風采完全自其觸鍵中流露。 
本片即是他於 1958-59.61.年的貝多芬和舒曼等的鋼琴曲，另加實況訪問及演出，亟具經典歷史性之錄音，不容錯過。
